An
internationally known speaker, Julie Christiansen has over 14 years experience
in group and individual counseling. As a Certified Seminar Leader with Fred
Pryor Seminars/Careertrack, she presented to audiences throughout Canada, and
the North-eastern United States, and was rated number one in customer
satisfaction for several of her topics. As a corporate trainer and public
speaker, she has presented on various topics throughout Canada, the U.S., and
the Caribbean. While she has been compared to the likes of Brian Tracy and Jack
Canfield, Julie has an energetic, humourous, and insightful style that is all
her own. Julie is the President of BODA reLEAF consulting, based in St.
Catharines, Ontario.
In her previous career as a
counselor/case manager, Julie worked with people with mental illness, brain
injury, addictions, multiple diagnoses, with cross-disability groups, and
at-risk youth. Certified in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation model, Julie has also
received specialized training in addictions counseling, bereavement counseling,
anger management, crisis and suicide intervention, career counselling, and
neurobehavioral rehabilitation. A member of The International Federation of
Coaches, Coachville, the Small Business Club Niagara, and the St. Catharines
Chamber of Commerce, Julie is committed to ensuring that all her audiences are
entertained, educated, and motivated to make the changes necessary to live the
life they truly want and deserve.
An award-winning short story writer and poet, Julie has also authored several
non-fiction works including, Top Ten Lists to Live By (1999),
Getting Past Your Past (2000), Anger Solutions! Proven
Strategies for Effectively Resolving Anger and Taking Control of Your Emotions
(2003), and Anger Solutions at Work (2005). Julie is the lead
writer and contributing editor for The Business Link Niagara, and past columnist
for the Standard's Niagara Voices.
Julie has been invited to
share her expertise on CHRI 99.1FM (Ottawa), CKTB 610 (St. Catharines), and with
The St. Catharines Standard. Julie has traveled to Jamaica to speak to audiences
about Anger Management. Julie appeared on Jacqueline Marcell's Internet radio
program, "Coping with Caregiving" on
www.wsradio.com in 2003. Also in May 2003, she keynoted at the Ontario
Association of Social Workers Niagara Branch annual conference. In October 2004,
Julie presented the Anger Solutions™ Program to a standing room only crowd at
the Making Gains Conference in Toronto. She has appeared several times as the
featured guest expert on CTS Television’s On The Line with Christine
Williams, and has discussed a range of topics including “Coping with Anger and
Rage”, “Overcoming the Past”, and “Dealing with Anger”.
